Job Summary:
Civil Engineer IV is a senior level position designed to execute and lead ongoing civil engineering initiatives and projects. This role includes all aspects of planning, designs, client management, and leading entry level engineers. Due to the nimble character and work driven culture of the company, this role is not simply a managerial role but will include work production and company management tasks.

Minimum Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate excellently with co-workers, leadership, clients, and other stakeholders of project status, pitfalls, opportunities, challenges, etc.
  • Lead civil engineering designs as well as conduct the work needed for the final deliverable of each project. These projects may include, but not be limited to, roadways, water systems, sewage systems, & stormwater infrastructure, and much more.
  • Prepare plans in accordance with the specifications and building code requirements of multiple authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Perform accurate calculations to analyze project parameters such as detention pond calculations, flow rates, and pipe sizing.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including, but is not limited to proper email organization, field observation logging, computer filing, construction costing, status reporting, and time records.
  • Ensure profitable billables to continue improving the financial strength of the company.
  • Continuing education to improve proficiencies and grow our areas of expertise and client services offerings.
  • Cultivate strategic business relationships to enlarge ACAI book of business.
  • Possess or develop intermediate knowledge of CAD, Microsoft Office 365, and Salesforce.
  • Follow and enforce ACAI Drug, Alcohol, and Harassment policies.
  • Follow ethical standards, safety procedures, and promote professionalism and respect within the work environment.
  • At all times, conduct yourself to promote a positive image of all ACAI divisions.


Job Compensation and Details:
  • This position will be primarily based out of our office to facilitate planning, team building, and a better understanding of our resources and services.
  • This is a salary position that is paid out weekly.
  • Book of business & overall company profitability-based bonuses paid out annually.
  • Continuing Education
  • Approved CE hours will be paid for by the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Biosystems Engineering.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in civil site development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Ability to perform thorough self-quality reviews prior to submitting for formal QA/QC.
